Carpetland Color Tile Retailer of the Year Honored at 11th Annual Alliance Flooring Convention

Chattanooga, TN — 3/13/08 Alliance Flooring, Inc. honored its Carpetland Color Tile division’s Retailer of the Year during the 2008 Awards Ceremony in Atlanta’s Westin Peachtree Plaza Hotel.

The Carpetland USA division, which began over 35 years ago, has a long tradition of sound business practices that have catapulted this close-knit group into prominence. They are characterized by service, quality, persistent advertising, hard work and passion for the flooring industry. They represent a strong core of owners, managers and families who outpace the industry in growth year after year by establishing themselves as a dominant flooring store in each market. The winner of this award is no exception.

Kevin Rose, owner of Carpetland USA in Rockford and Sycamore, IL, was presented the Carpetland Color Tile Retailer of the Year award. Rose, who has been in the floor covering industry more than 20 years, started out as a retail salesman in a Carpetland store and after several years was promoted to store manager. Seven years ago he purchased the two western Illinois locations and immediately began applying his leadership skills to increase sales, improve efficiencies and grow market share. His close attention to details and team building resulted in doubling their sales volume.

After receiving the award, Rose had this to say, “It’s always great to come together and see the character, integrity and enthusiasm of our group. I am ecstatic and honored to receive the award. It was a special moment in my career and I’m extremely thankful.”

Ryan Dunn, vice president of sales for Alliance Flooring said, “Even though Kevin took a hit with new construction sales, he picked up volume in retail and commercial contract business which resulted in 2007 being his best year ever.” “Kevin Rose is a dedicated owner who wants to improve his business in every facet,” stated Jon Logue, co-CEO of Alliance Flooring.
